BIG Book Club Has Outgrown Logan Room!
Meeting Wednesday, October 4, in the Sprague Room, Bandon Public Library.
On Thursday, September 21, fifteen people gathered in the Logan Room of Bandon Public Library for the initial meeting of this season’s BIG Book Club. Fifteen is the maximum allowed in the Logan Room. Since our chosen time on the third Thursday of the month, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, cannot be accommodated in the Sprague Room by the Library, we are now looking for a larger venue elsewhere.
In the meanwhile, the BIG Book Club will meet Wednesday, October 4, 3:00-6:00 pm in the Sprague Room. In order to take advantage of the longer period, we will begin at 3:00 a discussion of Heather Cox Richardson’s Letters from an American https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com . We will also plan the next few BIG Book Club meetings, including location, dates, times, and materials. If you are unable to arrive at this earlier time, please feel free to arrive at the usual time of 3:30 pm, or when it is possible for you. At 4:30 we will wind down the BIG Book Club meeting and reconvene at 4:45 pm for a BIG business meeting.
We hope that working folk, and even students, may be able to attend the BIG Book Club by keeping the time later in the afternoon and also by having the meeting in a convenient location that can accommodate all.
