June/Summer Event Updates

Summer has come! We have noticed that there’s many more activities going on, and lots of people out and about everywhere we go. As we get busier, it’s easy to lose track of WHAT is happening, WHEN, and WHERE! So here is a list to help us all remember!

Street Demonstrations

BIG invites all readers of our blog, newsletter, and interested members of the Bandon community to stand with us during our weekly demonstrations at the intersection of Highways 101 and 42s. Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm and Fridays 2:00-3:00pm continue as our demonstration times.

Peace Circles Meditation Group

Bandon lnclusivity Group invites you to join us in a form of peace activism that we call Peace Circles.

The idea came about when weekly BIG demonstrators on Hwy 101 began to notice a positive change in reactions from drivers passing by – more head nods, more smiles from people who before had been indifferent or negative. Our discussions explored these questions: Is what we’re doing beginning to change the community dynamic? What other outreach might encourage open heartedness and a sense of inclusion in our community?

Weekly Peace Circles are a way to bring together those in our community who aspire to harmony rather than confrontation. Peace Circles include contemplations on the roots of peace and agitation, hearing each other, being together in simple being as a way to join and share in a common vision.

We are meeting through Zoom every Tuesday at 4:45-5:45 pm. Please email info@bandoninclusivitygroup.com for the Zoom link.
We are currently also meeting in person at the Bandon Library Logan Room.  Their reservation policy only allows us to reserve dates on a week to week basis.

If you wish to be put on this Peace Circle notification e-list, please email info@bandoninclusivitygroup.com
