Send Us Your Suggestions For Projects That Support Diversity & Equity in Bandon.
BIG is seeking your ideas for community projects. What needs do you see in Bandon? What are some solutions that you would like to see? As we contemplate the coming year and plan proposals to grant-making agencies your perspectives and proposals will be invaluable. BIG has the capacity to obtain grant funds for projects that address real needs.
BIG’s mission is to engage Bandon area residents in creating an inclusive, just and fair community. To obtain grant funds, our mission must match with the mission of the granting agency.
As an example, this summer’s BIG Children’s Cultural Books program linked with the missions of Coos County Cultural Coalition (preserving, protecting and developing the arts, heritage and humanities in Coos County), Oregon Cultural Trust (lead Oregon in cultivating, growing and valuing culture as an integral part of communities) and South Coast Equity Coalition (to increase health equity for communities of color and for those living at the intersection of race, ethnicity, and other marginalized identities). The goal of our program was to introduce children to the various cultures of Bandon residents, and provide an opportunity to share cultural information.
Even if your concerns about the community, and your suggestions don’t match those missions, please send them to us. We may be able to find suitable grant sources. Send your ideas, concerns & suggestions to us at info@BandonInclusivityGroup.
